Join a dynamic and analytical team
The team is focused on transforming data into decision-making tools for financial and commercial day-to-day decisions. The team has a specific focus on driving continuous productivity improvements and standardisation across NORDEN, and are responsible for developing ESG reporting and accounting standards as well as data collecting, monitoring and KPI measuring.
The team functions as in-house consultants and give advice on financial and commercial related topics across the two business units and all support functions. Besides you, the team consists of a manager and four full-time employees.

Make a commercial impact
As Student Assistant in Finance Business Partnering you will support the partnering team. You will build strong relationships across NORDEN providing top-tier analysis, interpretation and controlling of commercial and financial information.
We expect you to work around 15 hours per week.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Developing scripts, primarily using SQL and Power Query to be used for data analysis and business insights.
- Maintaining and optimising existing data models to ensure data accuracy and performance.
- Supporting commercial insights by visualising data in Power BI to aid in strategic decision-making.
- Assisting with ad hoc assignments.
Your competences and core qualifications
We expect that you have completed the second year of a Bachelor’s degree in finance, mathematics-economics, applied economics, data science and economics or something similar from Copenhagen Business School, University of Copenhagen or IT University of Copenhagen.
It is a further advantage if you have experience with visualisation tools such as PowerBI or Tableau, previous code experience and an understanding of SQL and Power Query.
The right candidate has an end-to-end understanding of the influence of data, is motivated by designing processes and thrives in and contributes to a culture of precision. As building long-lasting stakeholder relationships in the organisation is the core of Finance Business Partnering, we expect that service excellence is your trademark. It is considered a plus if you have experience with the shipping industry.
